What is Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ price in Nigeria?
Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ is a mid-range 5G smartphone that sells for ₦399,000 in Nigeria for the 6GB + 128GB version and ₦479,900 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The phone stands out for its fast 144Hz display, its MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor, a massive 6,000mAh battery, and a unique Active Matrix Cube design on the back panel.
Infinix officially launched the device in Nigeria on 16 July 2026 as the premium model in the Hot 70 series. It features a large 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. Under the hood, its 6nm chipset handles daily multitasking, gaming, and 5G network speeds.
For photography, the rear setup uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with a handy 2x lossless zoom, while a simple 8MP camera takes care of selfies. Rounding out its main features, the phone supports 45W fast charging, dual SIM cards, a microSD slot for extra storage, NFC, and robust IP68 water and dust resistance. It ships running Android 16 with Infinix’s XOS 16 software.
Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ price by variant
| RAM | Storage | Price in Nigeria |
|---|---|---|
| 6GB | 128GB | ₦399,000 |
| 8GB | 256GB | ₦479,900 |
The latest market tracking puts the 6GB + 128GB base model at about ₦399,000, while the upgraded 8GB + 256GB version sits around ₦479,900. The higher-end model costs ₦80,900 more, but that extra investment gets you both a memory boost and double the internal storage space.
144Hz 6.76″ smooth display
Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ features a 6.76-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD screen with a 1080 × 2344 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 950 nits of peak brightness.
The important point about 144Hz is that it improves the way motion looks on the screen. Scrolling through websites, apps, and phone menus looks much cleaner than on a standard 60Hz display, and supported games look significantly smoother.
However, this does not mean every video or app will suddenly run at 144 frames per second. A standard movie still plays at its normal speed, and a game locked at 60fps will not run any faster just because the screen supports 144Hz. It is also important to note that the screen is an LCD panel, not an AMOLED. If you prefer the deep black levels and rich contrast of an OLED display, you should keep this difference in mind. In exchange, this phone gives you crisp FHD+ sharpness and a very high refresh rate for its price bracket.
MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G
The processor is one of the biggest reasons this model sits above basic, entry-level phones in the Hot series. It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chip, built on an efficient 6nm process, with a balance of four performance cores and four efficiency cores alongside a Mali-G610 MC2 graphics chip.
In normal daily use, this gives the phone plenty of processing power to handle social media, web browsing, messaging, streaming, and heavy multitasking. Infinix also states that the chipset supports gaming up to 90fps in compatible games and includes built-in optimizations for reliable 5G network connectivity.
As a buyer, the most important benefit is that this processor gives the phone enough performance headroom to stay fast and useful over time, even as apps get heavier with future updates. That long-term reliability matters much more than simply seeing the word “5G” on the box.
50MP Sony camera
The main rear camera features a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor that supports a handy 2x lossless zoom. Infinix also includes an upgraded Vlog mode, AI Live Photo mode, an AI Eraser, and an AI Extender to help you edit your photos and videos.
However, that 50MP number by itself does not tell the whole story. The Sony IMX882 is the actual hardware behind the lens, and the phone’s software processing plays a massive role in how your final pictures look. Because of this, the camera is best suited for someone who wants a dependable everyday shooter for daylight photos, social media content, portraits, and casual night shots, rather than a professional multi-camera setup.
On the front, you get an 8MP selfie camera. While it is perfectly fine for basic video calls and casual selfies, it is definitely a lot less powerful than the main camera on the back.
6000mAh battery with 45W charging
For the Nigerian market, the Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ comes with a large 6,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging. It also supports 10W reverse-wired charging and bypass charging.
| Battery feature | Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ |
|---|---|
| Battery | 6,000mAh |
| Charging | 45W wired |
| Reverse charging | Max 10W |
| Bypass charging | Yes |
| Claimed full-charge time | About 63 minutes for the 6,000mAh version |
Infinix’s global announcement notes that the phone is built with either a 6,000mAh single-cell battery or a 5,600mAh dual-cell battery depending on where it is sold. Because Nigeria gets the 6,000mAh version, it is always best to check local specs rather than assuming every model worldwide has the exact same battery cell.
The bypass charging feature is incredibly useful if you play mobile games for long periods. Instead of constantly charging and wearing down the battery while the phone is plugged in, the system routes power directly to the phone’s hardware. This smart feature helps keep the phone cool and protects the battery from overheating during long gaming sessions.
Splash, water, & dust resistance
Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+ comes with an IP68 rating and is built to MIL-STD-810 military standards. Infinix designed the phone to easily handle everyday drops, knocks, dust, and splashes of water.
However, it is best to view the IP68 certification as an extra layer of protection rather than a guarantee that you can safely use the phone underwater. These tests are done in controlled factory conditions, and real-world water resistance can weaken over time due to accidental drops, worn-out seals, or phone repairs.
For your daily routine, the real benefit is peace of mind. Accidental rain, kitchen splashes, and dusty environments are much less of a worry than they would be on a phone without any water or dust protection.
Phone affordability in Nigeria
Using the ₦479,900 retail price of the 8GB + 256GB model as our target, actual affordability depends heavily on your monthly income and how much cash you can realistically save after covering regular bills.
These upcoming budget examples assume the phone price stays completely stable at ₦479,900 and that you can safely put away that specific portion of your paycheck each month just for the phone.

How many days of work to buy an Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G+?
Based on a standard 26-working-day month, we can break down the ₦479,900 retail price into an equivalent number of working days.
| Monthly salary | Approx. daily income* | Working days |
|---|---|---|
| ₦100,000 | ₦3,846 | 125 days |
| ₦150,000 | ₦5,769 | 83 days |
| ₦200,000 | ₦7,692 | 62 days |
| ₦300,000 | ₦11,538 | 42 days |
| ₦500,000 | ₦19,231 | 25 days |
| ₦1,000,000 | ₦38,462 | 12 days |
For instance, someone earning ₦200,000 per month makes about ₦7,692 per working day. Dividing the cost of the phone by this daily rate shows that the device represents roughly 62 working days of gross salary. If you decide to save 20% of that paycheck, you would put away ₦40,000 each month. At this speed, it will take you exactly 12 months of steady saving to reach the purchase price.
Keep in mind that these are simple math calculations rather than formal financial advice. Regular commitments like rent, food, transportation, family dependents, debt, and unexpected emergencies will always play a huge role in how quickly you can actually save up.
6GB or 8GB: Which version makes more sense?
The two Nigerian variants are separated by more than just their storage space.
The 6GB + 128GB model serves as the lower-cost entry point at ₦399,000. It is perfectly suited for anyone who mainly uses their phone for WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, web browsing, banking apps, and everyday tasks.
On the other hand, the 8GB + 256GB version at ₦479,900 makes much more sense if you keep a massive collection of photos and videos, install heavy apps, game regularly, or plan to keep the device for several years. The extra physical RAM also gives the phone more breathing room to keep your apps active in the background when multitasking.
While both models include a microSD slot for expansion, a memory card cannot replace the speed and benefits of having more built-in internal storage. Built-in storage is much better suited for running applications and heavy games smoothly, while a microSD card is ideal for storing extra photos, videos, music, and documents.
